Cat TrapTrap the cat before it escapes the board Word Cross is a relaxed word puzzle where every level gives you a small wheel of letters and an empty crossword floating over a new city scene. Swipe through the letters in order to make a word. If it belongs in the puzzle, the answer drops into the grid and opens new crossings.
There is no countdown and no typing race. The challenge is spotting the right anagrams, using the crossword pattern when you get stuck, and deciding when a hint is worth spending coins on.
The journey is divided across London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Sydney, Rome, San Francisco and Dubai. Each destination has five puzzles before the scenery changes. Levels gradually add more crossword answers, so later boards demand more careful use of crossings rather than simple guessing.
Normal puzzle words award coins and finishing a level gives a larger completion bonus. A hint costs 30 coins and reveals one useful crossword letter without solving the whole answer. If you make a real word that is not one of the required answers, it is counted as a bonus word instead of being treated as a mistake.
The letter wheel is built for the same swipe gesture on a mouse, touchscreen or trackpad. Your current level and coin balance are stored locally in your browser, so you can leave and continue later without creating an account.
Because each puzzle reuses one shared set of letters, the board becomes more useful as you progress. Every solved crossing gives you another fixed character to work with, so the last few answers often feel easier than the first.
Press a letter, drag across the other letters in the order you want, then release. Correct answers fill the crossword. Complete every answer to clear the level.
There are 40 levels across eight city scenes: London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Sydney, Rome, San Francisco and Dubai.
A bonus word is a valid word you can make from the level letters that is not required by the crossword. Bonus words earn an extra coin.
A hint costs 30 coins and reveals one letter in an unfinished crossword answer. It does not solve the full word for you.
