The short version

NothingSerious is a collection of free browser games. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing to sign up for. We do not sell your data, because we do not collect enough of it to sell.

What is stored on your device

Several games save progress so that returning feels like picking up where you left off: unlocked levels, high scores, coins, galleries of things you made, and your sound preferences. All of it is written to your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never uploaded to us, it is not tied to any identity, and clearing your browser data removes it permanently. Because it is per-device, progress on your phone will not appear on your laptop.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which games people play and how they arrive, at an aggregate level: pages viewed, approximate location by country or city, device type, and referring site. We do not use it to identify individuals. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms, and you can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on.

Advertising

Ad space is reserved throughout the site and may be filled by Google AdSense and its partner networks. When ads are running, those third parties may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented and where local law permits. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in its own policies, and you can manage your preferences through Google Ad Settings. Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent notice before any non-essential cookies are set.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working, including your theme choice. Analytics cookies are described above. Advertising cookies apply only when ads are running. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the games will still work, though saved progress relies on local storage remaining available.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are passed to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which forwards them to our inbox. We keep the email only as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, and we do not add you to any mailing list. You can skip the form entirely and email us directly if you prefer.

Children

The games are suitable for a general audience, but the site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Since we do not hold an account or a profile for you, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you have a question about data held by our analytics or advertising providers, or you want something looked into, write to us and we will help.
