Pottery Master is a free online pottery game that puts a spinning wheel, a lump of clay, and a whole ceramics studio in your browser. The clay on the wheel is real-time 3D, a lathe mesh rebuilt live as you work, rendered with wet-glaze reflections and soft shadows, and your cursor works it exactly the way hands work clay: press near the wall and it yields inward, pull from outside and the wall rises toward you, sweep the sponge and the whole form relaxes smooth. Because the wheel never stops turning, every touch becomes a perfectly symmetric curve, which is the same quiet magic that makes real wheel throwing so hypnotic.
The game follows the full life of a pot. First you shape it, either chasing one of 24 target silhouettes in career mode, from a humble cereal bowl through amphorae, goblets, ginger jars, and a final master piece, or improvising whatever you like in the Free Studio. A live match percentage scores your silhouette against the target, and three stars wait at 96 percent for potters with genuinely steady hands. Then you glaze: pick a colour, hold your brush to the spinning pot, and watch bands of Ocean Blue, Celadon, or Cinnabar wrap themselves around the form. Choose a matte, gloss, or lustre finish, slide the piece into the kiln, and watch it glow orange among the sparks before the fired colours are revealed.
Finally, the auction. Collectors bid on every finished piece, and accuracy, glaze variety, and a fancy finish all push the hammer price higher. Coins unlock new glaze colours and the metallic lustre finish, and every sold pot takes its place on your gallery shelf, rendered exactly as you made it. Your gallery, coins, stars, and unlocked glazes are all saved in your browser between visits.
Drag on the canvas to work the clay. Touching near the clay wall presses it inward; touching outside the wall pulls it outward. The Hands tool moves a lot of clay at once, the Rib flattens and trues up a curve, and the Sponge smooths away lumps without changing the overall form. In career mode a dashed purple silhouette shows the target shape, and the match percentage updates live as you work, so you can see exactly which part of your curve is off. When the shape is right, move to glazing: select a colour swatch, then drag across the pot at any height to paint a band there while it spins. Fire it, watch the auction, collect your coins, and throw the next one. The R key restarts the current pot at any time.
